Lilac the Clown Standard Birthday Party Terms and Conditions
If you do not request clown attire, I dress in plain clothes with purple hair. If you request clown attire, but it makes someone uncomfortable, I may remove my leather shoes, tunic or paper-disc nose at my sole discretion.
I will not face paint anyone who appears ill. I will not face paint anyone who does not consent (for instance, a baby protesting as parents hold him down).
I will not apply glitter tattoos to infants.
Rescheduling not related to weather: You may transfer the retainer to a new date for any reason at all by reaching me at least 24 hours before your party time.
Rescheduling due to weather: For a weather related change of party date, call and reach me at least 4 hours before the party.
Simultaneous Entertainers: When I am balloon twisting or face painting, I welcome other entertainers. But if I do a show, other performers must work in a different room during the show.
Non-refundable Retainer: The retainer is a booking fee. It is non refundable.

Indoor Setting: In some cases, I waive this indoor requirement by advance agreement only -- but never in July or August. Please provide a climate controlled indoor area (not a tent, pavilion or barn).
Supervision: Please recruit a responsible adult other than me to supervise the children.
Customer gives permission to Lilac Birthday Entertainment to use any photographs taken, in all forms and media, for use in advertising without compensation or notification.

Delay Option: Getting children out the door is like herding cats, and guests are often late. No worries; delay my work by 15 minutes for free. Need to delay my work for more than 15 minutes? If my schedule permits, you may add additional time at a rate of $15 for each quarter hour or fraction thereof.
Purchasing bump-up time: If I do not have a party after yours, and more than 30 children are present, and we both agree to extend the time, an extra half hour will cost an extra $30 payable at the party.
Extra children: If extra children are present, which makes face painting & balloon twisting take more time, and if bump up time cannot be purchased, then customer agrees to Lilac's special system for managing demand.
Paying at the party would be inconvenient. The party balance gets paid the day before by online credit card.
